Divine Immersion: The Experiential Art of Nick Dong

Amid society’s need for post-pandemic healing, “Divine Immersion” embodies the distinctive healing power of art and has been recognized by the USC Pacific Asia Museum as a leading contemporary art exhibition of this era.
At the opening ceremony, Director Huang Min-jing of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles remarked,
“This exhibition serves as a spiritual journey, guiding visitors step by step through its artistic creations to help them move beyond difficult times, while offering a sense of healing to the Greater Los Angeles community.”
疫情帶來的失去與痛苦讓社會亟需療癒，「身靈奇境」不僅展現了藝術獨有的治癒力量，更因其深刻的心靈關懷與創新體驗，被南加大亞太博物館選為後疫情時代最具代表性的當代藝術展覽之一。
在開幕典禮的致詞中，駐洛杉磯台北經濟文化辦事處黃敏境處長形容「身靈奇境」：
宛如一段精神之旅程，通過它的藝術創作，一步一步引導觀眾忘卻艱難時刻，同時可以給大洛杉磯地區民眾帶來療癒的效果。

Nick Dong infuses Buddhist meditation and contemplation into his art, guiding viewers on a sequential journey—from fantastical mechanical installations to ethereal realms, where suffering is released, before returning to the mortal world. Through the process of mending both visible and invisible fractures with metalwork, visitors are immersed in sonic installations for spiritual purification. Finally, in luminous and tranquil waters, they are revitalized and complete their healing journey.
董承濂將佛教的禪修靜思注入創作，引領觀眾依序從奇幻機械裝置昇華到天境，釋放痛苦，再落至人間。透過金工修補有形及無形的裂痕後，沉浸到聲音裝置中淨化心靈，最後在閃耀、沉靜的水域重新獲得生命能量，完成療癒旅程。
