Dong’s creative journey began in Taiwan and has evolved through a unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, informing a meditative approach to artmaking that emphasizes internal reflection over external spectacle. His sensitivity to materials allows him to convey profound messages through diverse mediums—ranging from stainless steel and gold to his own grey hair, as seen in his notable work "Self Portrait at 50." Signature projects such as "Auspicious 88" and the "Enlightenment Room" explore the transformative power of sound, light, and movement, encouraging visitors to engage with art as a shared, holistic experience.
